I was born in 1981 and spent my childhood and youth in Isenthal, Switzerland. In 2001, I completed my initial training as a carpenter. In the search for a more creative approach to solid wood, I came across the profession of wood sculptor. I learned this profession for three years at the school of wood sculpture in Brienz. Since 2005 I work as a wood sculptor in the workshop, which I took over from my father, and which my grandfather built over 80 years ago. Meanwhile, my two children, Yuri and Jael, as well as my wife Sandra, are often found in the workshop. It is a mix of free work, and customer-specific commissioning work that shapes my work day. The slim, red figures have now become an important component and trademark of me.
