Marie is a sculptural and installation artist, using clay as main material. In her work, fresh and sensual forms emerge through a dialogue between material and making process. These sometimes awkward shapes are brought into conversation – amongst themselves and within the space they come to occupy – allowing a sweet and often ironic ensemble to emerge. In 2008, Marie receives her Bachelor in Art (BA hons), with first Class Honours from the University of Westminster in London, and in 2010 a Postgraduate Diploma in ceramics and polymers from the University of Arts and Design (HEAD) in Geneva. After practicing in Zürich for more than four years, she now lives and works since 2013 in Montreux (Switzerland) and has nationally and internationally exhibited.
